Evolution from the Shadows
The intial image was refined and taken out of the shadows. Taking something initially clumsy and cleaning it up to come up with the final result seen directly above.

The concept was to make an image which was more detailed then it seemed. Look closer. Most of the detail is not as random as it seems. The eyes, mouth, nose, and hair have all been created using forms to suggest hidden detail and character. The background is a view of the Face from a lower angle showing the the extreme shapes which where created. These shapes created added detail to the foreground image. The colours are simple and clean cut with a slight hint of texture.
